Negative People?

Whenever I hear about people ditching the ‘negative’ people in their lives, my head goes all math-y. I see a minus sign. I giggle a little at how my idiotically literal mind works sometimes.

And then I wonder if it isn’t more honest to say “I’m ditching the people in my life who I don’t like” or “I’m ditching the people in my life who don’t like me” or “I’m ditching that biatch who pissed me off.”

That’s what I’d say. But then, I’m pretty sure I have Asperger’s. *laughs*

  1. My friend Bob said: “Or you could always say “I`m limiting the discordant influences in my life”. Then when they look at you funny you can follow up with “And you`re one” then wave good-by and walk away. :^)”

    I laughed out loud. <3

  2. Oh aye …
I’m jumping on this one b/c A) I was in my mail when it landed and B) The last two days of my life (as witnessed on my Crackbook) have been focused exclusively on this very subject and rather too deeply for some.

Right, so what I’ve learned in the last 48 hours is to own my true feelings. Frankly, I’m sick of pretending to like someone when I “really” don’t because, hey, I’m a “light worker” and I should promote peace and pink butterfly gooey love … and the ability for the lion to lay down with the lamb … and … and …

    Yeah, fuck that shit.
Some people are neurotic blithering ass hats who need to get off my planet.

    *whew*
    There. I said it.

  3. Then just smile, wave like the queen, and walk away Sarah.
Love the “neurotic blithering asshats” thing BTW. :^)

  4. i suggested to my girl-child the ever-popular “You suck”-and-walk-away….which is pretty much the 9-year-old version of Bob’s advice. :)

    love this!

    xo

  5. Heh. As someone on the autistic spectrum (mildly, but still), I totally know what you mean. Blessings for your goal of ridding your life of negativity, whatever symbol represents it!
