I just wanted to pop in here and give myself a little permission, cut myself a little slack. I’m picking up this habit from Ellie Dee, who dedicates a whole thread in The Chalk’s forums to this little slice of self-care heaven. It feels good = I’m doing it:
Dear Effy,
I am noticing you staring down your to do list like it’s a battle field and you’re on it. Those items are not the enemy and there is no life and death here. I give you permission to be *gentle with yourself* today, and every day. I give you permission to see those ‘must do’ items as steps forward instead of demons to be exorcised or soldiers to be bayoneted. Let the line you scratch through each one be a caress, given with gratitude for the way each of those steps take you where you want to be.
Love,
Effy
P.S. You’re doing great!
I will be back in here later with a weekend re-cap, a glimpse at what I made for BOD today, and whatever else wants to be written.

AMEN! there’s only so much one girl can get done each day :)
AMEN! :)
My friend Kelly calls her To Do List “stuff I need to tackle like a linebacker”. Totally cracks me up!
I’m trying to do Ta Da lists instead. So far, so good. :)
