Swoon #4

It’s time to SWOON!

This week has been very swoonworthy for me. I got a new platform up for my tribe in Book Of Days Premium that is so clean, streamlined, and organized, that I hugged myself multiple times while putting it together. I also completed creating the first week of a BOD Boot Camp and made not one but two 8 x 12 hand bound journals in the process. Also, this:

and this

Graphite in my Book Of Days

I decided to take on 29 Faces again, but this time I’ve marked off grids that are about 6 x 4 to do them in. Some will be graphite, some will be full blown painted miniatures, but I’d like to see myself actually complete it. I think I got seven done last time (back in May) and I was trying to record every single one on video. I’m going to cut myself some slack this time and use them as a handy way to fill out the last couple of pages in my Book Of Days Volume II so I can move into Volume III. Hurrah!

YOUR TURN!

Upload a photo of something you’re proud of this week (to Flickr or another photosharing site) or write a whole blog post about it, and share the link here! It would be really great if you could link back to this post so others know where to find the other contributors, too! I’ll be coming around later today and tomorrow to see your shiny!

Not liking the way they turn out is totally part of the process. I can’t stand my 3/4 and profile portraits. Ever. But I know the more I work on them, the better they will get. Challenges like this are awesome for increasing your skills. <3

<3 your faces! Funny ur working on them…I just signed up for one of Tam's classes that includes faces! Now you've inspired me to do a new face in my journal for Swoon today. Will be checking out everyone's posts soon.

Tam rocks. I loved Suzi Blu’s portrait class, but I’d take it only after Petite Dolls and Ady’s Doll Dreams is great if you enjoy big-eyed girls! She also gives away mini-classes to her students which makes Ady a blast! Tam and Ady are sweet and Suzi is wild!

You’ll find two girls I did yesterday. I did fix the cross-eyes on the second one, but after the posting. Heck, she was a twenty min quick sketch, throw down watercolors with a flat brush and go! I made a new journal by having Staples bind some watercolor paper for me. Now I have to decorate due to their changing the covers (I brought covers) and the fact that they used a ring that’s too small. I want to keep all of the pages, so I have to make a wrap-around cover for the paper bulging out of the side. Sigh…Note to all, if you use a copy shop to cut and bind your watercolor paper, make sure they’re going to do it right.

Hiya again…Can you post the HTML for your button. I use Blogger and it won’t let me add Swoon without HTML. I’d be happy to add BOD, too. Can you tell me where the HTML is for it, as well?
