Hola, lovely peoples! I have been struggling mightily with Internet issues for the last two weeks. It was so bad that I’d write something, hit post, and then wait while praying because sometimes it worked, and sometimes it didn’t. Of course, I’ve got my Android phone, but I find it really difficult to blog with it, and I obviously can’t produce class content with it. Needless to say, this has been very frustrating. The service truck is coming today some time before noon to check it out, and I hope to be up and running at full uninterrupted speed very shortly.
Thankfully, I got Book Of Days – Week One UP and I’m so happy to see folks streaming into the classroom to get their BOD on! We’ve got 72 lovely souls in the class already, and all that’s missing is YOU!
This is the first spread I made for this session
The only real musings I’ve got for you this week are about patience and shitty Internet service and how frustrating that is, so I thought I’d spare you and offer up a few things I’m doing to take care of myself through this dark-ish night of the soul instead:
Throwing myself heart and soul into BOD
Belly dance class
Hot soaks in the tub with rosemary and mint and Epsom salts
Art sessions for *no reason* but to please myself mightily
Hot, fresh coffee
First dates (though my very first was an adventure in OMGSUCKAGE and I am feeling a little like maybe never doing that again)
Life Book 2014
Pot roast and other nourishing, comforting slow cooked things
We (my ‘housemate’ and I) had our first fire of the season last night and while it was bittersweet, it was still pretty sweet. I wore sandals and roasted a gignormous marshmallow. It was so good to sit out until the stars appeared, being quiet and soaking in the glory that is a beautiful fire.
And that’s it for me for now, my loves. Wish me luck getting the Internet working, and I’ll meet you back here on May 1st for my Blog Along do over!
