On A Timely Note

Early Bird Registration for Art Journal Summer School ends *today* so if you wanted to get in on this lovely summer class at a discount, now’s the time! This class is a collaborative e-course that includes eleven guest teachers whose sole purpose in this class is to get you creating over the holidays. The class is designed so that instead of being tethered to your computer for the duration, you are given quick lessons (ranging from 8 – 15 minutes or so) designed to inspire you to use that travel kit while you’re on holidays. Even if you’re ‘staycationing’ this season, you’ll find it useful, since this class was designed to be done in its entirety with a limited supplies list that consists of just a few of your favourite products.

If you’ve ever been out in the world and wished you had an easy to take along collection of things so you could art journal anywhere, this is definitely the class for you!

I’ll be demonstrating a cute postcard project that you can use to document your summer holidays, or to begin a ‘mail art’ practice. Sign up here! Class starts July 1st!

ONWARD TO WEEK #22

Feel free to save this image, and print it for your own personal use as an art journal prompt card OR as an oracle/meditation card.In sharing your responses to these prompts on line, I ask that you use the following format:

“This week I’m working with the prompt “word” from Effy Wild’s Journal52 <linked to http://journal52.com>. You can find the prompt and art card here. <permalink to the post for that week.>.

Please don’t lift the cards or written prompts from my website to share in your own spaces. Direct folks to the original post at journal52.com so they can find it themselves.

Feel free to copy/paste this information for your own records:

Blossom
The flower of a plant. The state of flowering. To flourish; develop. To open.

Synonyms
Flower, bud, efflorescence, floret, flourishing, opening.

Prompt
Create a spread that uses blossoms as a focal point. Create a garden spread that represents your inner state.

Oracle
What is coming into being in your life? What is in the early stages of manifestation for you? How can you nurture what is blossoming in your life?

Enjoy! And have a great week!

As always, do whatever you feel inspired to do! Use what you have! Create in anyway you are inspired to create!

Before You Go

I would love it if you'd join my "Beloveds List", which is my newsletter. I use this list to invite you to monthly live gatherings on YouTube, send you coupon codes and information on classes that are opening for registration, to announce giveaways and other subscriber perks, and to provide you with access to my VIP resources page. This list is especially for my people, and you are obviously one of my people. xo

P.S. If you believe white privilege isn't a thing, that we are a post racist society, that 'the wall' is a good idea, that artists should shut up about social justice and stick with posting pretty things, or that gay people are going to hell, please don't join this list. I'm definitely *not* going to be your cup of tea. Thank you!
